The Proposal...

So it was around January 2010 that we started seriously talking about marriage again, so it was one night when we were in his family home evening and in the end of the meeting they go around and everyone has to say something and his was announcing that we were planning on getting married.  That was really caught me off guard because I know we were serious about it but that just set it in stone pretty much.  I was so happy it was as if he was actually asking me right then and there.  But money was tight and he wasn't really working other than with his dad when they had jobs and he was in school so I knew there wouldn't be a ring, so we kept it all kind of quiet.  We talked to my family too and made the announcement that we were planning on sometime in the spring or summer just so we could get things started with planning and not only have a few months after we got the ring.  So it was like we were engaged, unofficially.  Which I was happy with, then finally on March 18th, Teki came up so we could hang out, I was leaving to go to Vegas the next day with some girlfriends.  He was gonna stay over since it was late and he didn't want to drive all the way back to Spanish Fork.  So we were getting ready to go to bed and he said he wanted to talk to me, he was worried about what we were gonna do in Vegas and wanted me to be good,  so i reassured him and told him I would be a good girl and then he pulls out a ring and says okay then so will you marry me?  I was so shocked I didn't expect him to have bought the ring already.  So I kind of just freaked out and of course said yes!  I was so happy, we were finally official!  The sad part was that I was leaving the next day for the whole weekend.  But I was just happy to finally be a fiance instead of just the girlfriend.  We hadn't really been looking at rings and he had picked it out all on his own, I liked it but it wasn't really the one I would have chosen.  So when I got back we went together to the store and I ended up picking the ring I wanted which was a bit more than the original but I loved it and he loved me enough to get me the one I wanted!  We decided on June 11th for the wedding and that's when all the planning really got started!

The Begining...

I wanna take it back to the beginning of what has become the best thing in my life.  So it all started back in July of 2004... I met Teki randomly at his cousins house one night and the whole night all he kept saying to me was 'Hi, I'm Teki.'  He made  me laugh and I did think he was cute but never really expected to see him again.  He apparently saw me the next week at the Samoan Flag week rugby tournament, and was so shy he didn't even bother to say hi and tried to stay hidden from me.  But as fate would have it we were destined to meet again, as luck would have it, my sister Jenn's boyfriend at the time, Marky, was going to school at SUU and who was he going to live with? Yup, Teki.  And he and Jenn really pushed for us to start talking.  So one weekend my friend Ashlii, Jenn and I were going to St. George for a girls weekend when we decided to stop in Cedar to visit.  I remember sitting at the kitchen table with Ashlii and Teki playing domino's and it was kind of awkward but I was glad to have Ash there to kind of break the ice.  He introduced himself and she thought he said his name was Duckie... and the nickname kind of stuck from there.  But he and Marky ended up coming down to St. George that weekend and we all hung out... that was the night we first kissed.  He likes to think it was because of his super smooth pickup line but it was because I thought he was sweet and really cute... why wouldn't I kiss him!  We ended up talking a lot on the phone and hanging out some more I really started to like him the more I got to know him.  And one weekend Jenn and I took a trip to Cedar to visit and that was the weekend I knew that I loved this guy and I wanted to be with him forever.   Fast forward 6 years and here we are!  So in love and so happy! The rest of our story is kind of bumpy... it has its ups and downs but that all doesn't matter because that has brought us to where we are right now and has only made us stronger and happier than ever!
